tetys GmbH & Co. KG continues to grow and takes over the MES business of Kistler Aachen GmbH

Press release- Aachen, 6 December 2021

On 1 January 2022, Aachen-based tetys GmbH & Co. KG will take over the MES business of Kistler Aachen GmbH and thus continue its growth. With the takeover of the MES business, the two locations will be merged and will operate under the umbrella of tetys in Kackertstraße in Aachen with immediate effect. The business is now to be further expanded together with current and other potential customers. The existing services will remain in place for customers and partners.

Kistler Aachen GmbH was taken over into the Kistler Group in 2018 from the former IOS GmbH and acted as a centre of excellence for production control and management systems. The acquisition of the MES business fits in well with tetys, which emerged from the Aachen-based companies GRP and FLS at the beginning of 2021 and has since been active as a specialist in the digitalisation of the shop floor.
The tetys system enables manufacturing companies to adapt to new boundary conditions with a high degree of dynamism and flexibility and to communicate the changed planning within minutes down to the plant level and to each individual machine. It combines detailed planning, MES, PDA, quality assurance during production, materials management and all other areas of production in a single, integrated system.

tetys’ managing partner Janina Keuters comments “We have experienced a lot in this first business year as tetys and are excited to take on new challenges with this addition. We believe in a digital future in manufacturing, for which intelligent use of IT solutions is a key success factor. This also convinces our customers, as the demand for digitalisation solutions continues to rise steadily.”
