Successful name change: FLS and GRP merge to form tetys GmbH & Co. KG

Expansion of the integrated store floor solution under the new name tetys

On January 1, 2021, the two Aachen-based companies successfully completed the merger and change of name to the new tetys GmbH & Co. KG. The business will now be further expanded together with current and other potential customers. The existing contacts and services will remain in place for customers and partners.

tetys enables manufacturing companies to adapt to new boundary conditions with a high degree of dynamism and flexibility and to communicate the changed planning down to plant level and to each individual machine within minutes. It combines detailed planning, MES, PDA, production-related quality assurance, materials management and all other work areas relating to production in a standardized, integrated system. This comprehensive, holistic concept takes up the three pillars of the two companies: Planning, store floor recording and - with a view to the future - the topic of intelligence. The latter focuses on future-oriented solutions in production.

This comprehensive approach offers you the greatest possible flexibility in the choice of solution elements. Both systems have a modular structure so that they can be adapted precisely to the respective requirements. Janina Keuters, the new managing partner and former managing director of FLS, makes this clear once again:

GRP and FLS
GRP and FLS were founded in Aachen in 1979. The core product of FLS is the detailed planning software FEKOR for production coordination, which also covers the entire materials management within production. GRP focuses on manufacturing execution systems (MES) in the manufacturing industry. In order to combine the expertise of the two areas even more closely, everything has been offered from a single source since 2016. Manfred Keuters, Managing Director of GRP, and Janina Keuters, Managing Director of FLS, are leading both companies into the future as dual leadership.

An initial result of the merger of FLS and GRP was the merging of the "FEKOR" and "GRP-MES" software products into the "tetys" software suite. It combines planning with data acquisition at store floor level and paves the way for networked, intelligent and self-optimizing production in an increasingly digital manufacturing environment.

The customers of both companies include numerous companies in the plastics, food, automotive supplier and metal industries, such as Eaton, Geberit, HEWI, P&G and Warema.
